Chapter 10 Went to sleep

When I woke up Cami was at my bedside with a bowl of porridge. My forehead was covered with a cold towel. There was a bowl filled with water at the bedside. I tried to wake up but my body felt like it gained 1000s of weight at once. It was hard even to move my body from the bed. And it was so hot in the room, i feel like i was burning. Seeing me strugglingto wake up Cami came forward to help me. She put a pillow and adjusted at my back. "What happened?? Why did you suddenly get fever?? " she said taking my hand in hers. "Cami dad came at my company today " i told her. "What?? Why?? Did he said anything? " she was concerned about me. I told her everything. It was hard to keep my tears in front of her. I cried as she held me tight in her arms. "What do you wanna do?? Are you going back? " she asked as she was patting my shoulder. It was so soothing i feel calm inside. I shook my hand. Now sobbing in little sound. "Its okay. You don't have to cry. If you want to go , go after you are recovered. And if you don't go, he'll always love you. Now don't think about it and have some porridge. You have to get better for me. Ok?? " She calmed me as i was a little baby. I nodded. And have some porridge she made me. And went to bed. ______________________ Next day my fever was in control. Though my body was my fever was decreased a lot. My work starts at 10 and it was already 9:50 when Cami droved me to the company. I walked towards elevator in a hurry. When i reached there , i pressed the button but the lift won't open. It was already 10 minutes trying to open the lift. But it was of no use. Then i went towards the stairs. My floor was 4th and my body was exhausted from the fever. It was so hard going up the stairs. When i reached 4th floor another 10 minutes was wasted. When I reached there, i was panting hard. I looked at my colleagues. Everyone was talking to each other. This made my heart little relieved. I went to my desk and sat. "Why is there so much noise?? Why aren't you working?? " Mr. Nolan's angry voice came from behind. Everyone gets up from their seats and looked at him. "I said as why aren't you all working??" he again said angrily. " Sir , today's work hasn't been submitted to us till now. " Olivia explained and looked at me. Wait what?? Why did she smile at me?? Did I forget anything?? I looked at her. I was not even sure whats going on.. "Who's turn is today? " Nolan looked coldly at us. Hell no. Shit. It.... It was my turn. Ahe said me yesterday. Damn it girl... How can you forget?? I started cursing myself but this wasn't helping anyway. "It's Riley" Ahe came forward and speak " i was the last one, and she is a new one. So it's her today. " Nolan looked at me. And i felt chills down my spine. He looked at me for a while and asked " Did you know, it was your turn?? " I nodded. Since i knew it , there is no point of lying. " Came to my office " he said and went towards the office. I followed him. I was scared right now. "Why didn't you came to take those file?" he speaks as soon as we entered his office. "I... I forgot " i said softly and look at his direction . He looked at me and he frowned a little. Then he quickly looked away and asked me to leave with those files. When i picked up the files it was a little heavy. I picked up somehow but it was hard to move it with. I went outside the office . Lukkily Anyee came and helped me. When i waa giving olivia her files. She asked if my salary was cut off because I was late. "No. He said nothing. " i replied genuinely. "How could it be?? . When someone did the same thing before, he would cut off their salary. " "How would i know? " i said and turned to leave. She looked at me and speaked in a little high volume " Could it be you already seduced him?" I looked at her shocked. How could she? I wanted to slap her. "Don't talk nonsense Olivia " i retorted. " If not, why did he let you go so easily, when he would cut half salary of others? " she said with a sarcastic tone. "How would I know ? Why don't you ask yourself " i said and left the table. She was unresonable. For sure she won't listen to me. Its better if I won't be bothered by her. When it was noon. I felt hot all over the body. I knew my fever has returned. I wanted to sleep. Even keeping my eyes open was hard for me. My body felt so heavy. At break i didn't went for lunch. Instead i decided to take a nap. It was hard to make Anyee go alone. But since i was not fine and wanted to take a nap, she agreed. After she went, i slept for a while. Then i feel thirsty and went to pantry area to look for water. It was hard to even take a step forward. Still i managed to get there. I drank a mothful of water. And turned to exist. When i was about to exist, my leg slipped. I thought i would fall to cold ground. Instead i fall into a warm embrace. I looked up and saw Mr Reid frowning at me. He help me stand up. "Thank you " i murmured under my breath. I wanted to leave. I wasn't in good state now and i don't wanna fall again I thought and tried to leave . "Did you went to see a doctor? " Mr. Reid asked from behind. "No sir, I'll go after the working hour" He didn't say anything and let me go. When i took another step forward , i feel dizzy again. And i felt like I was going to fall again. But i didn't fall instead Mr. Reid took me in his arms and moved toward the elevator. " I'm fine sir. I can walk" i tried to say as loud as I could. But i wasn't loud enough. He looked at me and frowned again. "We are going to hospital. "he said and got into elevator. I wanted to say something but i feel so dizzy. I don't even want to talk. I just want some sleep. Slowly i fond a comfortable place and went to sleep.
