Sebastian's POV:
My mind was a mess. I was not expecting to see Haley at the birthday party of Logan's daughter. Moreover, the way she was dressed up and stood next to him, looking so confident and while holding the hand of his daughter, it made my blood boil.
The moment we returned home, I stepped through the front door, a sharp ache settled in my chest. The house was quiet, but the silence was deafening. Or perhaps the noise inside me was too loud for me to notice anything else.
Jordan was also upset, he was hyperventilating and threw his shoes somewhere in the living room before he shut himself in his room.
"Jordan-" I called him from behind but it was clear that he did not want to talk to me.
Joey approached me, her eyes searching mine for something—comfort, understanding, maybe even affection. She reached out, her hand gently touching my arm. "Sebastian," she whispered, her voice laced with concern.
