Chapter 50 Where She Goes
Caitlyn's POV
I brought Jane back to the apartment I rented and helped her clean up. As I looked at her, my thoughts drifted to Kane.
I knew Raymond would take good care of Kane, but right now, I missed him so much.
"What are you thinking about?"
Jane's voice pulled me from my thoughts, and I looked down, realizing I had made the water too hot for her bath.
"Oh! Sorry, Jane!" I quickly pulled her out of the water, but Jane didn't seem upset.
"It's okay. I'm fine."
Her calmness made me feel even worse. I wasn't sure if it was because I missed Kane or if I felt Jane's pain.
"Hey, Jane, I shouldn't have made the water so hot. You should have told me if it was too hot for you," I said, trying to explain.
She just looked at me without saying a word. It made me feel a little helpless, but I forced a smile.
