Chapter 66 The HollowFang
Caitlyn's POV
Bree’s note had been maddeningly vague, yet it had led me here—to the Hollow Fang Cavern.
An abandoned place buried deep within the mountains, hidden from time itself. The entrance yawned before me like a mouth ready to swallow me whole. The air was thick with damp earth, the scent of old stone, and something else—something darker, ancient, watching.
I took a slow breath and stepped inside.
The moment my foot crossed the threshold, a chill wrapped around me, sinking deep into my bones. The walls dripped with moisture, their rough, jagged edges whispering against my fingertips as I walked deeper. My breath came out in shallow puffs, misting in the cold air.
The further I went, the heavier the air became. It pressed against my skin, invisible hands dragging at my every step. My wolf stirred uneasily, pacing within me, her hackles raised. I could feel her tension, her whispered warnings curling around my thoughts.
