Caitlyn’s POV
The world was burning.
Thick smoke coiled into the sky, blotting out the moon and stars. The air was thick with the scent of ash, blood, and death. The battlefield stretched as far as my eyes could see, once-proud lands now reduced to ruins, torn apart by war. The cries of the wounded mixed with the snarls of wolves locked in battle, their fury and desperation shaking the very earth beneath us.
This wasn’t just another fight. It wasn’t a mere territorial dispute or a skirmish between feuding packs.
This was annihilation.
I stood at the heart of it all, my body tense, my hands curled into fists at my sides. Around me, werewolves who had once called each other allies now tore each other apart. Blood slicked the dirt beneath my boots. My people, my kind, were falling—some fighting for survival, others driven by blind hatred.
