#Chapter 251: Steven Likes To Watch

Steven holds out his hand for me. I take it and let him lead me into the bedroom. We come to stop at the foot of the bed, and then he turns to face me. He continues to hold my hand, rubbing his thumb over my knuckles. He stares down at our conjoined hands rather than look at me in my face. Even though coming into the bedroom was his idea, I am still bracing myself for when he inevitably changes his mind. I won’t be mad. I’ll understand. I just hope, that if he’s going to end this, he does it sooner rather than later. I’d hate to be naked and panting and for him to roll away. It would be okay, of course, but I might never recover from the shame. I want him to be certain before we ever get that far. If he can’t even look me in the eye, I’m not so sure that he’s certain about anything. “Steven,” I say. “There’s no reason we can’t wait, if that’s what you want…” He shakes his head. “I’m not nervous because I want to stop. I’m nervous because… what I want might not be what you are
