Chapter 1200
After Serenity wiped his shoes clean, she tilted her head to look up at him and asked, "Is this okay?"
At the moment, her face was as pale as snow. Coupled with her thin frame, she looked weak and fragile.
Jackson couldn't help but frown. Her condition made him feel uncomfortable.
Serenity waited for a while but Jackson didn't answer her, so she awkwardly rubbed her nose, smiled at herself and stood up.
"Can I borrow a broom and a dustpan? I'll clean this place up a bit," Serenity said to a man in a security uniform.
"Huh?" The man was taken aback. After seeing Connor's subtle nod, he quickly said, "Sure, uhh... I'll be right back."
He soon came back with a broom and a dustpan and handed them to Serenity.
Serenity started cleaning up her own vomit, while Jackson stood there watching her and didn't leave.
Because Jackson didn't leave, the others naturally didn't dare to leave either, so all of them stood there and watched Serenity clean the place up.
Watching her slender frame, Jackson's face became more and more gloomy. The way she looked now reminded him of the time when she was a sanitary worker, except she's even thinner now. She was so thin that it looked like the wind could blow her away.
He knew he should ignore her and leave. Even if she vomited blood or fainted in front of him, he should turn a blind eye to her.
He should completely ignore her like the last few times he saw her.
But he couldn't move his eyes away! His frown deepened. His face was so gloomy that it was starting to look scary.
Noticing his boss' face, Connor didn't even dare to breathe too hard.
Suddenly, Serenity stumbled. While she was falling down, Jackson rushed forward and pulled her arm to steady her. Then, he led her into the building.
Serenity let go of the broom in surprise. It fell to the ground with a thud.
By the time she came back to her senses, Jackson had already dragged her into an elevator.
The executives and the security guards outside looked at each other, wondering what was going on.
Some of the executives asked Connor, "Mr. Gunn, what..."
"Don't ask. Remember, when you see that woman in the future, don't offend her," Connor said. He then ordered the security guards to get the company's cleaning staff to come and clean the place up.
In the elevator, Serenity said to Jackson, "Where are you taking me? Let me go!"
Jackson simply pursed his lips tight and didn't say a word.
"Let me go!" She twisted her wrist and struggled.
However, his fingers were like steel bars, holding her wrist firmly. The more she struggled, the more her wrist hurt.
Ding!
