Chapter 6
When Liam heard that Jenna's condition was stable, he felt incredibly relieved. Amy had been worried sick for the last two days. Now that Jenna was okay, she was finally able to get some sleep.
For some reason, Liam felt as if something was missing. He instinctively took out his phone and turned it on.
Since he'd been unreachable for two days straight, he thought I would have flooded his phone with countless calls and messages. But the minute he turned it on, he froze.
There wasn't a single missed call from me.
Feeling surprised, he checked our chat and realized that I hadn't sent him any new messages in two days.
"Please pick up. Ivy is in the hospital and she needs immediate medical attention!" my last text message to him read.
When he received that message, he glanced at it with contempt. He assumed that it was just a dirty attempt to vie for his attention, so he didn't even bother replying to it.
