4 Silver clan

“Be careful.” Liam warned before walking away. He took out his phone from his pocket to answer a call. “Okay.... I will be there shortly.” He put the phone back into his pocket and walked downstairs to the garage. When he reached the garage, he walked towards the black car where the chauffeur was leaning against. The chauffeur opened the door and Liam sat down to type on his laptop. The car drove all the way out of the city to a bushy area where there was no sight of people. This was the side of the city where ordinary people do not come. Traps and landmines were set up in this part of the forest to stop intruders from stepping in. The car halted in front of an old building which looked like a warehouse but was a permanent basement for his clan. Two to five bodyguards stood in front of the building. They pushed the door opened for their Boss to walk in. The air around him was suffocating and the pungent smell of blood filled the air. “Boss!” A man with short brown hair hurried towards him to collect the briefcase. “I thought you were not going to come again.” “I received a call from Felix. Where is he?” Liam asked. “Ohh look. He’s here.” The man said pointing towards another man who was walking towards their direction. “Boss the meeting with Black mamba was postponed due to your absence. We thought you wouldn’t meet up for the meeting.” Felix said. “And where is the Boss?” Liam asked. “He left an hour ago.” Felix replied, stepping behind to remove the Jacket Liam was wearing. “Alright. How has it been?” Liam asked. “There was another attack.” Felix replied. “From the silver clan but we managed to capture one of their man.” “Where is he now?” Liam asked. “In the black room.” Felix replied as they continued walking towards the stairs. “Let us hope he would not be foolish enough not to spill out information about his clan but rather die.” Liam said. They walked upstairs to the end of the corridor where the black room is. The black room was used to torture their enemies or rival clan. The room was dark with no window to light it up. Felix was the first to step in and he turned on the switch to the lights. He pulled a chair for Liam and he sat down. Liam raised his head up to see a man who was tied against a chair. His face was sullen with bruises and cracked lines. Liam sat down on the chair and double crossed his legs to see the man clearly. He stared at the man with a blank expression. The man appeared to be asleep but when Felix poked the knife into his leg, he opened his eyes to look at Liam. “You are here...” The man coughed blood from his mouth. “We should talk.” Liam pulled his chair forward to stare at the man clearly. “Talk about what?” The man puffed for air. “I know you very well. Someone who wouldn’t spare a person even after spilling information to you. Are you going to threaten killing my family? You can go ahead, I don’t care about them.” “I give you my word.” He leaned his back against the chair. “I would not hurt you or your family if you tell me what I came here for.” “It is better I die than say anything to you. You can torture me as you please.” The man spat which got Liam infuriated. Liam stood up from the chair and walked towards the man to grab his neck. He slammed his head against to wall to see the man laugh lightly. With anger boiling inside his skin, Liam punched the man on his nose to see blood splash over his face. He released the man’s neck and the man fell with his back kissing the ground. When he thought it was over, Liam brought his leather shoe against the man’s face and he smash his face with the bottom of the shoe. “When I am done with you, I would ask the doctor to treat you and then we continue again. I would not let you die, not this soon.” Liam said. The man opened his mouth to laugh and Liam smashed his face against the wall to see him fall unconscious. He stood up straight and turned around to look at Felix who had an horrific expression. “What? Why are you staring at me like as if you just saw a ghost?” Liam asked, taking a wipe from the table to wipe the blood on his face and fingers. Once he was done cleaning himself, he opened his mouth to speak. “Have the doctor come inside to treat his wound.” “But Sir you know you the silver clan would not let this slide.” Felix said. “Are you not a member of this clan? Don’t you have any idea of what they have been doing to me for years? I lost my five girlfriends to them.” Noah said and he threw the handkerchief on Felix face. “This is not an ordinary member. He is assistant to the leader.” Felix said. “Then we will use him to get to the leader so I could strangle his neck.” Liam said. “Get Black mamba leader to return back for the meeting. It is an important one.” Liam ordered. “yes sir.” Felix nodded and they all left the room. He signalled the doctor who was outside to go in. When the doctor opened the door to see the man on the ground in the pool of his own blood, the doctor shook his head. This is the work he has been doing for years. He has been working with them to treat wound or check if one is dead and they would pay him huge. An amount which the hospital he also worked for could not pay annually. .... Meanwhile, Ava who has been spending the whole day with Lucy stood up when it was time to go home. She arranged her things in her bag and turned to Lucy. “I will be taking my leave now.” She said. “So soon?” Lucy asked as she was already getting more familiar with Ava. “I thought you would be leaving an hour from now.” “I have to go now Lucy. Maybe I would spend more time with you tomorrow.” She said to the little girl. “Alright. Goodbye.” Lucy waved at her and she left the room. When she reached downstairs to wait for the car to pick her up, she caught sight of another black car driving towards her. The car drove towards her and the window at the back seat slowly went down for her to see Liam sitting there with messy hair. “What are you doing standing there?” He asked with his eyes scanning her from head to toe. “Get inside the car.” He ordered but Ava continued to stand there. Even when the rain started to drop little by little, she continued to stand. “Are you now a statue who can handle rain? You know we would be getting married soon, is this how you are going to behave around me?” He asked. “Seems like she’s deaf and we would only be wasting our time talking here. Drive.” He said to the chauffeur. When the rain drops continued to fall on her skin, Ava quickly opened her mouth to speak before the car would drive away. “Wait.”
