Noah's POV
"I'll make Edward Roberts believe that he succeeded in killing me," I said to Isaiah. The scent of whisky and cedar intensified around me as my wolf, Ryder, stirred restlessly.
"You mean, you'll put your life on the line?" Isaiah's eyes widened.
"I promised myself that I would do everything to protect my family. My mate, my son—they're everything to me." My black eyes flashed steel-gray for a moment.
Isaiah massaged his forehead. "Noah, Edward Roberts isn't just any Alpha. He's a powerful warrior who survived many pack battles and pack politics. By now, he knows we caught the wolf that was following you and Paige. There's also a possibility that those plans are a trap."
