Lilah's eyes widened in an instant.
She stood frozen, staring at the cool, handsome man in front of her like she just misheard everything.
A meaningful kiss?
That was the condition?
Wasn't that... more like a bonus?
Nervously, she clutched the hem of her dress. Gabriel's gaze was way too intense, making her drop her eyes as she swallowed hard. "I-I agree."
Once she gave her answer, Gabriel casually leaned back in his chair.
His long fingers flipped through a file on his desk, cool and composed, barely sparing her another glance. "I'll let you know once everything's in place."
"Okay." Lilah nodded quickly and left the room.
The night was still and dark.
A breeze fluttered through the open window, causing the sheer curtains to sway gently.
Gabriel skimmed over the documents for a while, then looked up, sharp eyes quietly fixed on the study door.
His gaze was deep, unreadable, like an ocean hiding secrets.
