Chapter 43

A few minutes later, Sabrina finally coughed up a mouthful of seawater, and her shaky breath began to even out. Cassian grabbed a towel and wrapped her trembling body in it, scooping her up into his arms and striding toward the cabin. His face was grim as he barked at the crew, "Head back!" The crew didn't dare delay, immediately springing into action. In no time, the yacht roared to life, speeding toward shore. By the time they docked, the butler and several staff members were already waiting anxiously on the pier. The moment they saw Cassian, soaked from head to toe and dripping wet, they rushed over. Water still fell from the ends of his hair, and his face was dark, expression grim to the extreme. In his arms, he was carrying a ghostly pale Sabrina. She had passed out cold, her slim arms limp at her sides. Curled up in his embrace, she looked so fragile, so helpless. Without missing a beat, Cassian marched onto the RV parked nearby, where a medical team had already been standing by.
