His tall frame threw a heavy shadow into the room, the kind that made the air itself feel tight. Sean's eyes widened the moment he recognized the man at the door. It was Annie's boyfriend, the so-called manager. Rage and jealousy surged up so fast that it drowned out the pain in his body. Sean heaved himself forward and practically shouted, "Where did you take Annie?"
