Everett’s POV
I found my answer in the trembling pupils of her eyes.
I narrowed mine.
Sure enough, she knew the truth about her origins.
I pressed further. “Miley, you’ve always known you are Peter’s daughter, haven’t you?”
“No!” She stumbled backward, but her bound limbs restricted her movement, sending her crashing awkwardly to the floor.
Overwhelmed by agony, she screamed hoarsely, unable to hold it in.
“I am the daughter of Andrew Morre and his wife! I am their daughter! Peter and I have nothing to do with each other… nothing! I have no connection to him whatsoever!”
