I looked blankly at Everett.
I never imagined Everett had investigated everything so thoroughly. He had come prepared.
But I couldn’t accept it. After enduring a decade of silent suffering, I couldn’t bear to watch everyone pour their lives into protecting Scarlett. Why? Both of us are daughters of the Taylor family, both bear the Taylor surname… why were our fates so utterly different? Why was Peter my father? Why?
