I sit in my office, my brow furrowed, running my fingers across the stubble lining my jaw over and over again. I should have shaved this morning, but my mind was admittedly… elsewhere.
“He’s on the spectrum,” Iris said last night.
That information left me confused, to say the least. Of course, I have no issue with people who have any sort of learning disability or otherwise. It’s just… surprising to hear that my own son has one.
I’m an Alpha—and I come from a long line of powerful Alphas. It’s highly uncommon for the children of Alpha wolves to come out with autism, or any other kind of disability, for that matter.
It just doesn’t make sense. I checked once already, and found that Miles is indeed a wolf, not a human. While his DNA does, of course, contain human DNA—Iris is his mother, after all—he is a fully-fledged Alpha wolf and should have his own wolf emerge by the time he hits puberty.
