Lucius's POV
When I saw Claire holding Lucas, something unexpected happened inside me. A warmth spread through my chest that I hadn't felt in years.
The conflict between Claire and me ran deep. We'd argue every time we crossed paths, both stubborn and unwilling to yield. But something shifted when Lucas entered the picture. The little boy adored her, and surprisingly, Claire seemed equally attached to him. She even volunteered to stay and care for him while Gaynor recovered.
