Chapter 219
Claire's POV
I stepped into the hidden room, my heart pounding. The space that opened up before me was nothing like I expected from a secret passage. Instead of dusty archives or weapons, I found myself standing in what looked like a bedroom, one that belonged in a fairy tale.
Soft pastel colors covered the walls. A canopy bed with flowing white curtains took up one side of the room, perfectly made as though waiting for someone to return. Bookshelves filled with worn classics and trinkets lined another wall. Everything was spotless, without a speck of dust, suggesting someone regularly cleaned this hidden sanctuary.
"This feels wrong," I whispered. "Like we're intruding on someone's private space."
Stella remained unusually quiet in my mind, seemingly as captivated as I was by our discovery. The room felt both frozen in time and alive with memories.
"We should go," I said, turning to leave. This was clearly someone's personal space, and I had no business being here.
