Chapter 31 Do Not Let Me See You Again

Nancy stumbled back, slamming into the sideboard with a dull thud. She clutched her throat, coughing violently. "Get out." Sebastian's voice was cruel. "Don't let me see you again. Next time, I won't hold back." Without another glance, he turned on his heel and strode out of the villa. Taylor lingered a moment. The usual courtesy on his face was gone, replaced with disregard. "Ms. Sullivan, the Northridge project file Mr. Joseph submitted has already passed the board's review. The preliminary approval is done. Construction begins soon." His tone carried no warmth. With that, Taylor turned and followed him out, leaving Nancy frozen in place. That was impossible. Her mind buzzed, going blank for a moment. She had fixed every flaw in that document, so how had Sebastian still seen through it? Unless he thought she and Joseph were working together, putting on a staged act just to lure him in. That damned Sebastian actually suspected her. She wanted to rush out and explain, but
