LUIS'S POV
The weight of the night suffocated me. Under my hands, the truck's engine rumbled steadily and steadily. On the inside, though, my thoughts were anything but serene. I watched the shadows creep across the deserted streets as I gazed out the broken window. The chaos, the screams, and the way Camila struggled like an animal in a corner were all still vivid in my mind as I listened to the fire from Santiago's lab.
