Chapter 33
CAMILA RAMOS pov
I struggled to fall asleep, my eyes wide open as I stared up at the fractured ceiling above me, the shadows twisting like the lies that haunted me.
Could there have been a different outcome to how everything concluded?
The pictures of the blood and the faces of the people I believed to be trustworthy would not leave my mind. The guilt was slowly seeping into my being. It resembled poison.
"I didn't want this," I muttered to myself. I didn't want any part of it.
However, did I? Did I truly intend to leave? Or was I simply afraid of what I had done?
The telephone rang. Alejandro sent another message.
