Luis's pov
The warehouse smelled like stale blood combined with burned metal.
Still warm at my feet was a body. Before the others went silent, the guard's last breath had not even cooled the surrounding air.
I remained calm. I blinked at nothing. I turned to the rest of them after cleaning the blood off my blade.
