Chapter 71
I wasn't sure if Gabriel had actually heard me speaking or if it was all just part of a dream. But still, I tirelessly repeated the message I wanted to pass to him.
Gabriel suddenly opened his eyes wide, and I instinctively took a step back. Very quickly, Garbiel's expression softened. He rubbed his forehead and let out an exhausted sigh. That nap seemed to have given him no rest or relief. If anything, it seemed to have made him more exhausted.
Then, his gaze fell on the glass that was placed on the nightstand. His expression darkened slightly as he lifted the covers and got out of bed.
He was only wearing casual clothes as he stepped onto the carpet with his bare feet. After he composed himself for a while, he put on his shoes and stepped outside.
"Mr. Dutton, you're awake?" a staff member asked.
Gabriel sat on the couch and asked, "Could you get me a pen and some paper?"
