I found myself an excellent vantage point and sat down, giving the stage to Griffin for now. And to his credit, he didn't disappoint.
In front of the entire company, Griffin completely lost his composure. He pointed at Miles and berated him, "As the founder of Grant Enterprise, I order you to apologize to Ms. Jackman right now!
"If you insist on being stubborn and making things worse, then as far as I'm concerned, I no longer have a son."
Then, he straightened up and walked over to stand in front of me. The words he had spoken were like the final straw. It broke the silence that had gripped the crowd.
Torn between his pride as the CEO of Grant Enterprise and his father's authority, Miles stayed silent.
Just as an abrupt hush filled the air, I slowly stood up.
"There's no need for an apology. My relationship with your family has pretty much reached its end," I stated.
Griffin instantly broke out in cold sweat.
"How about you name your price, Ms. Jackman," he offered.
I smiled
