Gavin finally snapped out of it. His gaze settled on Chantelle, and he murmured, "I'm sorry."
Worried, she asked, "Do you still think that woman is Giselle?"
"No, I know she isn't," he said, calm and certain.
Chantelle nodded. "Exactly. She isn't Giselle. You've already confirmed that, so stop staring at her. The gentleman she's with won't appreciate it."
Gavin didn't respond, and just like that, Chantelle immediately lost any interest in dancing. "Gav, let's sit down for a bit. My face is starting to hurt again."
Hearing that, Gavin immediately helped her to the lounge. Unfortunately, the seat he chose gave him a perfect view of Reagan and Giselle on the dance floor.
Watching them move together, Gavin realized how effortlessly they matched. He had to force himself to look away.
Chantelle was right. That woman wasn't Giselle. He had no reason to feel angry.
