Chapter 92
Gavin had the gas pedal slammed all the way down.
Meanwhile, in the other car, Reagan cut a glance toward Giselle in the passenger seat. "Gavin's driving like a bat out of hell. Is he trying to rush home to check whether you're there?"
Freshly changed into new clothes, Giselle instinctively straightened in her seat. Reagan lowered his gaze, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Why are you so jumpy? Aren't you a little scaredy-cat? Anyone could just scoop you up and squeeze you."
She gave him a look. "Just drive. Overtake him. Go around."
Reagan clicked his tongue. "He's already flooring it. Trying to overtake him now would be dangerous."
Momentarily speechless, Giselle shot him a glare. "If you refuse to pass him, then don't come begging me for help next time. It'll be on you when you fail Mr. Simmon's mission and get your pay docked."
Reagan smiled, calm and unbothered. "Hold on tight."
The moment he spoke, Giselle instantly grabbed the overhead handle as if her life depended on it.
