Chapter 29
It was late in the evening; an internal debate brewed inside himself when he and his father finished fixing up his house. His mind rationalized whist his heart longed. He knew his mother was incapable of harming his mate, it was against her nature as a faerie, an extreme empath that had the need to heal the wounded, not harm. Besides, it was late and he knew she'd be asleep and would be safe for the night, yet, he was still beside himself. His heart, the bond calling out to him, eventually won. He was unable to be parted from his mate any longer. The overwhelming urge to ensure her safety cause him to trudge though the thick snow after his father.
"I knew you couldn't stay away for too long." His mother greeted the pair at the door as they pulled off their outer layers. His father kissed his mother before excusing himself to take a shower.
"She okay?"He asked as he rubbed his cheek against hers in greeting. He felt her smile against his skin before she pulled
