As the sun loomed over the sky, the moon beginning to disappear from view, it was a telltale sign that noon was approaching. That also meant that Arias, who was never late, would be on his way home, bringing back the game he managed to snag. Early mornings, she had been informed, were the best for hunting, so from dawn to midday, she wasn't able to see him. She couldn't lie to herself and day she didn't miss him, even if the pair were only separated for a few hours out of the day. Each day, as the sun reached its peak, her excitement grew as she knew he'd be on his way home, back to her.
Though today, unlike the others, she was nervous. Pacing the snow dusted porch, she awaited for him to emerge from the forest, no doubt a kill hanging from his mouth as he dragged it back.
