Serena bounced happily into campus, light on her feet, catching more than a few looks as she walked down the tree-lined path. Whatever. Let them stare—probably curious about the whole Dylan and Sophia mess. She pretended not to notice a thing. But the second she stepped into the girls’ dorm building, she knew something was off. Every single girl on the floor stood by their door, eyes glued to her as she walked by. Someone had a sheet mask on, someone else was rubbing one sleepy eye, another held a laundry stick, and one girl was literally brushing her teeth with foam still in her mouth. Not a single person moved, like they were frozen. Serena was totally in the dark. She tried to ignore the weird stares and made her way into room 201. The second she walked in, Ivy darted over, glanced at their two other roommates, and hurried her out to the stairwell like she was on some secret mission. “What’s with the hush-hush act?
