He pinned my wrists high above my head and forced his weight against me, the sudden movement causing the fabric of my dress to rip.
I gasped, trying to find the strength to halt his descent into madness, but he didn’t let me.
Instead, he pressed his body against mine, his intensity making my legs wobble and my heart hammer against my ribs. I tried to turn my head away, but he caught my jaw in a firm grip, forcing me to meet his gaze.
“E-Ethan!” I managed to choke out. “We need to talk. We can’t do this right now.”
I needed answers. Why hadn’t he told me about his gambling? Who were those dangerous people at the underground club?
As usual, he didn’t listen.
Ethan took what he wanted. With a final, violent tug, he tore the remains of my dress away, staring down at me.
