Chapter 103 JUST RESTLESS

Author's POV There was a white sound, nothing in the room existed for a moment. It was so much and nothing at all, Lucian wasn't even sure where he was for a minute. He was blind and nothing happened. But then, slowly the white light exited and everything came back to focus. She was still in his arms, her body still and her breathing was there - steady and quiet. That was all that mattered to him, the heat was gone too. He looked up then and noticed the ruin that the chamber was left in. The walls were cracked, some of them were rumbles on the ground. There were sigils burned into the ground where she laid, strange he noted. He wasn't the only one to notice that. Both Cassian and Caden who had been stunned and were still in shock stared at the disaster. Lyra had fallen to the ground at the entrance - her head pounded with a headache. Several guards lay on the ground in an unconscious heap. Their eyes were closed so that for a moment they looked dead but their hearts still pumped blood.
