Chapter 123 JUST AS EXPECTED

She didn't remember how she found her way back to her room in the infirmary but the next thing she knew, she was taking the herbs being served to her. Her hands shook as she took the cup from the healer.
She hadn't been able to think clearly since she had heard those words. It was both pain and anger in her heart. They were treating like she was a temporary instance. As if there was no way in all this that her life was important.
Nobody even cared about how she was feeling inside. All they could do was fear her. Fear what? She didn't even know for sure but she had seen it. Everyone was acting strange towards her. It hurt her but this had broken her even more.
Cassian sighed and leaned down on the table, his eyes still on the council. “And this vote is not the final decision" he said and the murmurs began again. So many of them disagreed, the alpha couldn't override the council's decision.
