Author's POV
It was a quiet limbo, like she was suspended in space. The darkness surrounded her, everywhere she turned it was dark. She didn't know what to do, couldn't move, couldn't speak. So even if her soul cried out, nothing rang out.
She tried to search for something, anything to hold onto but there wasn't. This wasn't her, she knew it. This was something else. Not sure what exactly it was but she knew it wasn't. She didn't feel like herself and she wanted so desperately to leave here.
It felt like a dream at first. When she had first seen, or appeared as it seemed. But time had passed - time she wasn't sure of and nothing had changed. She had stayed the same, suspended in this empty and dark place.
Her body felt weightless, she couldn't feel a thing. Even though she heard people move around her, voices and chants, she couldn't respond. She wanted to beg someone to do something, anything at all. Of all her sins, this was the worst way to pay for it.
