Chapter 41: MIRROR CONVERSATION
DORIAN'S POV
Anora said nothing.
She did not answer my nervous induced question, instead, she turned a little bit more so I could see her back.
She tapped her finger against the nearby metal table in a nervous tone. The tap, tap, tap sound filled the air, fueling my anxiety.
I worried about what to do, about what she wanted me to do, what she needed me to see, what she wanted from me.
I looked away at first but soon I turned back toward her. Stop being a coward Dorian, that is all you've ever been! It's time to do something different, it's time to face things head on and not look away from them.
My eyes moved from the skin of her neck and finally settled on her back. Their were things…brutal marks on her back. They looked like deep cuts made by an angry beast, like marks that only a brutal creature can give.
My eyes widened in shock, my face paled in apprehension. The marks continued to her lower back until it finally disappeared at the top of her waist.
“What is this?” I ask
