CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO: PENDANT
LUCIAN'S POV
“She's alright Lucian,” Shiraya said.
I studied the look on Shiraya's face. I felt confused. Shiraya looked tired, completely spent, sweat filled her face, lines of exhaustion surrounded her face. Her exhaustion looked a lot like sadness and defeat so I was confused. I had thought for sure that Rhea was dead, that was what the text she sent me had said so now that she says that Rhea is alright I am indeed confused.
“But you said…” I started to say but soon gave up and instead rushed to Rhea's side.
“Oh yes. For a while, it seemed like she had died but somehow she was revived.” Shiraya said. The sound of my shoes as I walked over to Rhea's bed was the only sound that filled the air until Shiraya continued speaking.
“All the spells I had been casting, none of them worked and then when I threw in the towel, when I decided that maybe the goddess had chosen to receive her into the underworld she suddenly gasped and woke up.” Shiraya had a puzzled look
