Irene’s POV
“Ryan, let go of me,” I growled through gritted teeth and I pushed him off, he staggered back a bit. He had lost so much weight. Was it because I left? I rolled my eyes at the thought. “Who cares?” I scoffed inwardly.
Now I could see the dark circles under his eyes. Doesn’t he sleep well? There shall be no sleep for the wicked, that served him right. Whatever he faced, I didn’t wish it worsened, but it served him right.
"Irene–” he called back. I was already leaving. I didn’t want to hear the trash he had to say. “I love you, please I’m sorry.”
“I don’t care what you feel, jackass.”
“Irene, please. Come back to me,” He called after me. I gritted my teeth and looked around, Ryan was drawing attention to us. I just want to get out of here and go find Kaius.
