Irene’s POV
“Dad?” I called him. He wasn’t listening, or maybe he couldn’t hear. I turned to Uncle Leon. He stared blankly at me. “Uncle Leon, can you hear me? God damn it.” I cussed.
I sat on the chair and rested my head on the table. I heard soft footsteps and a pat on my back.
“Irene, you are still here. Ugh. You know I would do my best for you– for the pack right?”
I do know that you would, but could you? You don’t look like a man that fully has control over himself and neither does Uncle Leon.
If the pack’s Alpha and Beta are being controlled by something? What would be the fate of the pack?
I raised my head slowly and stared at my Dad, he looked normal now. “Of course, I am here. You were saying things I didn’t understand, Dad.”
He stared at me in confusion and he walked to his seat. “I don’t remember saying anything, Irene. Did I Leon?”
I looked up to Uncle Leon who seemed normal now, he shook his head, staring at me like I had lost my mind. What just happened here?
