Shiela's POV Rise and shine... It's a bright new day.. My Mom, the Luna promised that she would make us a special delicacy for us all including the Beta extended family. Everyone was cheering, singing, drumming and rejoicing with their wolf's dancing around unlike mine, My Wolf was calm and unhappy and I don't know why. I joined mommy in the kitchen and helped out with some stuff, I was looking for something or someone to cheer me up but it didn't help. When the cook came to join my mom and I left them alone and went to meet my Dad at his chamber. He was throwing out smokes in various shapes.. That's his special powers. Ability to produce flames and smoke. I don't know why everyone is happy but I don't feel like it.. "Daddy" I said. "My lady Alpha" He said and I chuckled. He calls me that because I'm his only child and sadly he needs a male successor. The first son of the Beta family would do the job. "You don't look happy" He observed before I confided in him. "You notice it too. I don't what is wrong with me, my wolf is so calm" I told my Daddy. "Have you lost your power?" He was frightened already. "No" A glass of water was nearby and I freezed it. "And more powerful too" I froze the glass till it broke. "Then what's wrong with you?" "I don't know" I sighed. "I know what's wrong" My Dad smiled. "What?" I looked at his face. "Your Wolf is lonely" "Huh?" "Shiela you need a mate" He said. "My wolf has never been this sudden calm, so it's not.." "Okay, when will find your mate?" "When the time is right" "Everyone has found theirs.." "Oh Dad" I rolled my eyes. "I'll leave you to continue what you were doing" I said walking out of his chamber.. "Your Wolf is lonely" I heard him repeat.. and I giggled. At least he made me laugh.. I decided to take a stroll down but I didn't go far, I wonder the kind of species that lives overbroad.. which was just straight down there. Virtually all my family has been there before including my parents but migration isn't just my thing. After a while of walking, talking to my self, thinking about random stuffs,. Whether it could brighten my mood, if the wolf in me is moody, I will too. But I was hungry.. so I had to go back home. Mom's so called special delicacy should be ready by now.. and I can't way. While I walked back home...I could hear the footstep of many people and I sighted fire from afar.. about miles away. I ran to see what was going on... I got closer and saw them clearly.. There were more than hundred of them as they matched with a stick of fire in their hands. Who are these people? They were so many..and they were running towards our ancestry home... They looked dangerous? , Yes they are..but what do they want? They began to throw the stick of fire on our buildings before barging into every compounds violently. My legs were feeble as fear ate me up, I couldn't run to save everyone, I just hid there and cried my eyes out.. I covered my mouth, so that they won't hear me. I summon up courage to confront them. "You will get killed too. These people are too many for you to handle" The wolf in me said. But who the hell are they and why are they doing this? Where do they come from? I watched my home burn down, I saw when five of my Beta cousins escaped through the back and ran towards where I hid, she was still about hundred metres away from me yet I made a signal and Elsa saw me.. "Mommy...and Dad were killed.." She stammered.. My eyes bulged.. suddenly about seven hefty men ran saw them out of the compound.. I wanted to scream to alert them of the dangerous men that were coming behind them which was at my own risk too but it was too late.. The dangerous men slash down mercilessly. "Noooooo" I screamed and cried profusely. "Who is she?" One of the men asked another.. "I think she's the Alpha's only daughter" "Yeah she is one of them" Another person said. "Arrrrghhhh" I growl and pointed at them my five fingers, ice came out of it and freezed the one in front. "Signal the rest! She must not escape" I began to run as fast as my legs could carry me and they ran after me. One of them whistle to alert their fellows. I didn't stop running and they didn't stop chasing me, I would have finished them all but they have increased now... and I was tired. What do this people want? Why would they not just let me be? I was tired. I changed to my Wolf form, so as to be faster... After running few miles, it became tired too. They were very far from where I was but they won't stop coming closer.. I was tired to run, so I just searched for somewhere to hide, thank moon goddess, I was close to where they were shelters. "I saw her just now! Where did she go?" They got close to where I hid. Oh Luna, I prayed silently for safety. "She must have gone over there" They said pointing at the Shelter. "Let's go in there" "No we can't go in there yet" "Why?" "It's an order from the boss" the other told him. "Let's inform him that the Alpha's daughter has crossed the border. We will come for her later" He said.. They left.. I whimpered softly, so that they won't hear me until they were completely out of sight. The people I love, my family, my ancestry were murdered right in front of me. I cried my eyes out till the tears couldn't flow out anymore. I sniffed as I remembered the good memories with my family. I still spoke to each and everyone of them today, I never knew today would be the last day I'll see them.. I heard footsteps coming from the shelter nearby, I stood up and walked towards the houses. I was hungry, weak, I needed Shelter. I needed help. As I moved close, it drawn to me that I was in another town, another ancestry... And it happened to be the very place my family has visited to severally but I never did..no one would know me here. "Someone is over there" "Who's that?" "Who are you?" I heard muscular voices and they walked towards me. At first I thought they were among the guys that were pursing me..still I couldn't run, because my legs were already wobby.. if they are part of them, I guess I would have to surrender. "Capture her, don't let her escape" They said and held my hand. "I just need help" I muttered. I doubt if they heard me. They were obviously guards. "They must have sent you here! I can see that" "No body sent me here" I managed to say but they dragged me and handle me roughly as if I were a thief. " Don't take justice yourself. Take her to the Alpha King first" Another person said. And two of them started to drag me into the wide building.. and another two followed us. Suddenly I smelt something, I couldn't detect what it could be.. as we went further to their so called Alpha King.. the smell became stronger and stronger.. soon I could feel my weak wolf dancing. What is it this time around? It was calm when something horrible was about to happen and it's happy now.. what? Am I in danger again? They stopped moving when we got to another gaint door. "Hold her tight, while we will go in to fetch Alpha Tusa" One of the man that followed us ordered these two that wouldn't leave me for a second, not even by mistake. "Ugh.. she looks like a devil in disguise and my instinct is never wrong" the other guy said and I smirked. I'm innocent, they didn't even hear me out.. I hope their Alpha King would love to hear my story and would have pity on me. I hope their Alpha King and Luna is as sweet as mine. Rest well Daddy and Mommy.. Few minutes after the guards left to fetch the Alpha, we heard a harsh growl.. and my wolf almost jumped out of me to fight. This weak thing but they really think I'm a rogue.. The door opened and the guards came back with two wolves, one is huge and older. They changed to their human form and I saw their faces.. I should be scared of what they might say or do to me but my wolf was busy dancing. *****
