“There you go… clean it nicely. Eww, Aira is wiping off Lara’s juice again that poured on the floor.”
Their voices scrape against my ears, the same mockery I’ve heard every day. I’m tired—tired of the bullying, tired of being treated like dirt just because my family is broke. If things were different, I wouldn’t be here on my knees.
But these girls, these spoiled daughters of rich homes, they think having money makes them royalty.
“When you’re done, come clean my shoes too,” Lara adds with that irritating smirk.
