Chapter 70.
The second we got back Darian had some pressing matters he had to get to which meant I had time to stash the dress and grab something to eat before I got ready.
The clock had to be around five pm and I still hadn't eaten, my stomach growled and I was still reliving our moment in the car.
There was nothing he could say that I wouldn't believe anymore, if he said he’d kill them, I believed him and my life isn't worth anyone else’s. My life isn't worth anything anymore as far as I could care. I saw those kids from the car and the second he said that he’d kill them, I suddenly saw their bodies flat not the ground. I didn't put anything past him. He’d already proven what he was capable of.
My head filled fast with the memories of my family but I shook them out and put them in a safe box in the shadowed parts of my mind where I knew they’d be safe. Once everything was done and Darian couldn't hurt me or, anyone else anymore, I would take the box out and release the memories. But I couldn't
