Chapter 3

I heard his footsteps near me and I growled lowly warning him. I even moved my desk slightly away from him, I do not even want our shoulder's touching. His face remained neutral and took a seat next to me. It was just complete silence and rage between us.  A shadow loomed over me and I looked up to see the witch Veronica. I forget she's in this class too. I'm pretty sure she already knows that Niall is my mate, well was my mate. Let me tell you one thing about her, for a beauty like her, her personality is shit.  "I heard you got rejected by Niall. It must've hurt." She mocked. I didn't respond I'm just gonna pretend she isn't here. "Now we have no words huh. What would you do if he became mines." Veronica whispered in my ear. Addie this time awoken and tried to jump out and I suppressed her. It was hard cause I'm weak right now. I faced her and she moved her face back quickly. I hummed out a little tune and titled my head to the side.  "Go ahead." I shrugged my shoulders. Shock was written all over her face and so did her little gang of girls that surrounded her "Why are you so calm?! You're suppose to me seething with rage!" One of her followers said. I think her name is Maddie. A dumb one may I add.  "Like I said he rejected me. Why should I care who he get's involved with?" I said while pointing to myself confused.  Veronica wasn't satisfied with my reaction and walked away with her little fans. I pursed my lips in a fine line and crossed my arms over my chest. I don't know what they expected me to do, throw her out the window out of rage? These people are unhinged too.  -LUNCH- I came to find out Niall decided to change his whole schedule and guess what? He's in majority go my classes. I don't know how I'm keeping my sanity at this point I might just go bat shit crazy in fact. No I should just drop out of school, that would be nice.  I closed my locker and took in a deep breath. Though I felt two presence creeping up behind me, I have been on guard all day since I got weaker from the rejection. I turned around quickly but stopped in my tracks quickly.  "Don't even try." They said in a unison. It was Toby and Jay the whole entire time. I put my defense down just a bit.  "I thought you guy's were su-" I said but got rudely interrupted. "I heard what happen." Toby said. He looked pissed off, no pissed off is not the word. I think he's about to murder someone.  "I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch." Jay sneered clenching his fist. "I'm fine, look at me. I can even bust down in- I said, however my world turned upside down and now I was staring any Toby's ass. Disgusting.  "It's ok we will give him a little talk this time." They said in unison. Just hearing that a shiver ran down my back. Toby and Jay rarely speak in unison and when they do that means trouble.  "Put me down now!" I cried out.  They completely ignored me and entered the cafeteria. We must look so ridiculous right now. I mean I'm thrown over Toby's shoulder while they look semi cool walking around. Why couldn't they just pick a fight after school. That would benefit me way better.  Not only that they're totally over reacting, I do not need more drama in my life right now. I just want to move on and not think about this day ever again. Truly I want to keep it semi peaceful as much as possible.  I was set on the ground softly. Then I looked up making eye contact with Niall. I was about to make a run for it but Toby grabbed my wrist stopping me. Niall eyes were on Toby's hand on my wrist and I swore I saw a flick of anger. The audacity of him to even get mad, he's the one who rejected me!  Like I thought men are shit! "I heard what happen, you rejected her." Jay spoke up first. I can tell his wolf was about to jump out from him. This caused the other werewolves at the table to be on alert. Well the ones are Niall's pack mates after all and they will protect their future alpha.  "What now she can't handle rejection? She handled it really well with her horrible acting earlier." Niall spoke up. My acting was top tier first off Mr. O'Shitter. I can win an Oscar with that acting.  "Let's just go, there's no need to fight." I grabbed Jay arm trying to pull him back.  Toby on the other hand grabbed Niall by the collar of his shirt abruptly pulling him up from his chair. With that threat everything happened so fast, fist were being thrown by everyone. I stumbled back confused, god are these fucking dogs?! This is a whole brawl by teenage boys that actually can end up deadly. I dodged a tray coming my way and I clenched my fist in annoyance. No one knew what to do even the teachers just stood around. I can't blame them though, it would be dangerous to break up a fight with high ranking werwolves. "Hey Toby, Jay stop!" I yelled as I tried to break up the fight. I was pushed back and my eye twitched in annoyance.  I reached out for the two of them again, until a body collided with me. The two of us fell down and the air in my lungs left. I groaned out in pain and held my head. This is why I hate school fights.  There was a weight on top of me, well semi on top of me. It seemed like they were holding themself up trying not to crush me. I opened my eyes and was staring at these annoying brown eyes. Well recognized brown eyes.  "What with the deep stares for? Are you going to get off of me?" I asked annoyed but Niall didn't move. Hell a water bottle even hit his head and he was unfazed.  "Dalise?"Niall said.  "What is it?!" I snapped.  "Your nose it's bleeding." He pointed out. I felt something running down my nose and I touched it to indeed see blood. My mouth dropped in shock, I didn't hit my nose right? Then I felt something coming up from my throat. I let out a heavy cough and I saw blood splatter a bit on Niall's face. My mouth dropped down open.  Did I just cough up blood? Niall was thrown off of me , Jay and Toby were hovering over me. Fear was written all over their face. Am I dying? Did this happen because of that stupid rejection?! Well fuck me!  My lungs slowly started to burned a lot and my chest felt extremely tight. I gasped out for air and grabbed on Jay's arm with a terrified look. Yes I think I am dying?! Cause what the fuck is this?! "Someone give me water!" Jay yelled. Yes Jay water will definitely help for sure. A girl came from the crowd and crouched down to assist. Well isn't she nice. I knew there were some lovely people in the world.  The burning feeling increased and I held my chest in pain. I need to go see a pack doctor now or else I think I will actually die. You know what's even more fucked up? How come that ass is not affected like me? Why am I getting the short end of the stick?!  With all of my remaining strength I sat up with the assistance from Toby and gave Niall the most deadliest glare on this planet earth.  "I'm going to...fucking kill you!" I yelled out.  Then everything went black.
