A few days later
JESSICA'S POV ~
The deafening sound of the alarm jolted me awake, causing me to groan in utter fury and frustration. With my eyes still shut, my hands fumbled to locate the source of the noise but couldn't find it.
"Ugh!" I groaned, crawling out of bed to silence the alarm. My hand slammed down on it, and the device crashed to the floor.
My head throbbed as if it were made of lead. It felt like a thousand hammers were pounding against my skull, and the pain only intensified with each passing moment. I grimaced, clenching my teeth in agony.
"Shit!" I cursed, placing my head between my thighs. My gaze landed on the endless empty cans of alcohol scattered around me, and I grimaced again.
