Chapter 102
Seeing her like that, Lucas instantly panicked, worried that Claire might cry. He quickly tried to comfort her.
"It's really nothing serious, I swear. Look."
As he spoke, he pulled his arm out from beneath his jacket. It was wrapped in a thin layer of gauze, and he could still move it freely — clearly, the cut wasn't that deep.
But the bloodstains on his torn shirt did look a bit scary.
Alyssa chimed in from the side, "Yeah, it's just a shallow cut, mostly wide, not deep. The doctor said as long as it stays dry, it'll heal quick. Won't even leave a scar."
She always said what came to her mind. But as soon as the words were out, she remembered the scars on Claire's body and realized she'd said something wrong, instantly looking embarrassed and guilty.
But none of the three siblings seemed to care.
Adrian even cracked a joke, "Better not move again — mess around too much and you'll end up turning a small issue into a real one."
Claire glared at him, but finally, a smile broke through her
