Chapter 831 Who’s Yohann?
Sotiria removed the plastic cover on the paper cup without hesitation and poured the full cup of apple juice into Renata’s mouth. Just then, an ugly man pinched Renata’s nose. Unable to breathe, she swallowed the apple juice.
Thud!
Sotiria tossed the empty fruit juice cup on the floor, turned around, and left, refusing to look at Renata any more.
It had been four years. She had been living frugally. She wouldn’t even give Naomi clothes and toys that were too expensive… And it was all to save up money to help Renata.
However, at the end of the day, she had been helping a venomous snake!
This snake had turned around and given her a deadly bite.
Who knew what those two men would have done to her if she hadn’t struggled profusely yesterday. If Zachary had arrived one second later, that terrible drug would have been pumped into her system, and she would have been reduced to a slave to drugs by now…
That way, Naomi’s life would have been no different from having no mother at all!
Naomi was only three years old.
She had not been able to find Naomi’s father yet. If she were incapacitated, Naomi would become an orphan, with no one to take care of her, wouldn’t she?
Renata was well aware of this!
However, Renata still wanted to hurt her!
Thus, for her sake and Naomi’s, she would show Renata no mercy!
Renata deserved this!
“Hehe, it doesn’t matter anymore! It doesn’t matter anymore! You tore Yohann and me apart long ago anyway. I’m never going to love again after breaking up with him. I’m going to be like you—fooling around with just about any man. What’s wrong with that?”
Renata, whose mouth was now wedged open by the ugly man, moaned in despair.
Sotiria, who was just about to walk out the door, suddenly paused in her footsteps. “I don’t understand what you mean.”
“Looks like you’ve forgotten all about that matter, after that incident. Oh, how I pray for the day to arrive when you finally regain your memories…”
The drug in that drink hadn’t come into effect yet, but Renata could feel her body temperature rising. She knew that soon enough, she would become just like Sotiria yesterday—unconscious. She had lost the need to continue begging Renata for mercy. She would rather turn completely against Sotiria and sneer at her.
“Because once you regain your memories, you’ll remember all of the horrible things you’ve done, and you’ll never live with a clear conscience and with pride again!”
Sotiria felt a tug on her heart. She quickly turned around.
“You said I tore you and Yohann apart. Who’s Yohann? Explain yourself, what happened?”
“Hehehehe… Yohann, oh, Yohann…”
Tears streamed down Renata’s face at the mention of that name.
“He was my boyfriend and my fiance. Five years ago, I got pregnant with his child. We were supposed to get a shotgun marriage on October first, five years ago. But Sotiria, you were such a good friend. You climbed into his bathroom on the second day after we decided to get married.”
‘Oh my god!’
The tip of Sotiria’s fingers trembled. She felt her entire body turn cold at that very moment.
She used her trembling right hand to cover her agonized heart, which felt as if needles pierced it.
“Did you know, Sotiria? You are so notorious that anyone in Rothesay who knows of you would be disgusted by you. No one wanted to be your friend. I was the only one who ignored everyone’s opinions and treated you like my best friend. You had so many boyfriends, and you were so used to flirting around. You could’ve seduced any man. Why did you have to set your sights on Yohann?”
The scene from five years ago seemed to flash before Renata’s eyes. She gnashed her teeth and shot Sotiria a glare. Her eyes were like spitting balls of flame.
“Yohann’s bathroom you climbed into was the house Yohann, and I had just bought with a loan. We were going to use it as our newlywed home. On that day, I happily brought my parents and brother over to have a look at the newlywed home we had just bought. Then, just as we pushed the bedroom door open, we saw you and Yohann having sex in the bathroom! Sotiria, how bad was your head injury? Even if you’ve forgotten everything else, you couldn’t possibly have forgotten that you’ve committed such a vile deed, right!?”
