JAX'S POV
The setting sun painted the hillside in shades of blood and gold as I watched the wedding unfold below. Through the pack house's massive windows, I could see every detail of the ceremony—the elaborate flower arrangements, the gathered guests in their finery, and Aubrey, radiant in white, looking every inch the perfect bride.

The cool evening breeze carried snippets of music and laughter up to my vantage point. Beside me, several members of my elite guard maintained their positions, silent and watchful. Years of planning had led to this moment, and I felt nothing but cold certainty.
"She plays her part well," Ivanka murmured, materializing from the shadows like smoke. Her magic rippled around her, dark and potent. "They all suspect nothing."
I watched as Knox and Aubrey shared their first dance, moving in perfect synchronization across the floor. "Thirty-four years," I said, my voice devoid of emotion. "I've waited thirty-four years for this night."
