Margot had just walked out of the lab in Northbridge when her assistant handed her a brick phone. "Professor Monroe, your friend is calling." Her friend quickly said, "Margot, have you seen the latest news? Vera showed up at the military district causing a scene. It was brutal. "And Cameron's mother had too much bleeding in her brain, which led to severe oxygen deprivation. She's in a coma now! Don't you think that's karma?" Margot's grip on the phone tightened, but her eyes showed no emotion. "Their business has nothing to do with me anymore." After hanging up, Margot still picked up the newspaper on the table. Cameron and Vera's names covered the entire page. Suddenly, a slender hand placed a glass of lemonade in front of Margot. She looked up and met Nathaniel's meaningful gaze. "Seeing them tear each other apart, how does it feel?" he asked. Margot took the beverage Nathaniel offered and sipped it lightly, shaking her head. "Their affairs have nothing to do with me anymore.
