Chapter 826

Leah was stunned for a moment when she noticed Wyatt, and then her eyes immediately lit up with joy. Wyatt gave a casual glance to Leah and replied, "I work here." He did not want to waste his time looking at a woman like Leah, who was beautiful on the outside but rotten within. However, Leah was not the slightest bit offended by Wyatt's dismissive attitude. She approached him with a bright smile and even pressed onto him with her curvaceous body. "You work here? What do you do?" "What's with the questions? Do I have to report to you about what I do here?" Leah pouted and just quickly assumed from his attitude that Wyatt probably worked as a lowly security guard of some sort. She then excitedly asked, "What's that ointment you applied on Xylia earlier, Wade? Can you give me a bottle as well? I'll even buy it from you if you're selling." It was normal for women to care about their appearance, especially for prideful women like Leah. Leah was extremely envious of Xylia ever since she witnessed Xylia turning from a hideous monster into a stunning beauty with skin as soft as silk after using Wyatt's ointment. She also wanted to get her hands on Wyatt's ointment. Wyatt shook his head and replied with a cold tone. "I'm not giving or selling the ointment to you." Leah did not expect for Wyatt to reject her so bluntly, and she was so furious that she almost lost her composure and wanted to yell at him. But for the sake of her desire to become ever more beautiful, she simply suppressed her anger and asked, "Why?" Wyatt smiled and replied, "You're not worthy of it." Leah almost spat out a mouthful of blood from shock. She was considered a generational talent as a beauty due to her looks and her body. Plenty of men would line up and fawn over her for even just a crumb of her attention. And yet, even with her taking the initiative to approach Wyatt, she was being belittled instead of being completely catered to as usual. Leah's pride simply could not take it. Noticing that Wyatt had angered Leah to the point where her body was visibly trembling, Xylia immediately stepped in to ease the situation. "Please don't be mad, Leah. Wade's just joking! Just take it out on me if you're angry!" Leah glared at Xylia before turning to point at Wyatt. "Xylia, you want me to restore that deal for you, right? It's easy. I can just open my mouth and ask my aunt for help. But on one condition!" Xylia's face lit up with joy. "What is it, Leah?" "I want Wyatt's ointment! If you can get it for me, I'll tell my aunt to accept the deal with your company!" Leah decided that she could utilize Xylia to obtain the ointment from Wyatt instead, seeing that they seemed to have a rather special bond as friends. Xylia was overjoyed as she finally regained a glimmer of hope. But upon seeing that Wyatt did not want to give the ointment to Leah, she once again realized that she was being put in a difficult spot. She hesitated for a long while before mustering the courage to approach Wyatt. "Wade, can you give the ointment to Leah?" "Why should I?" "It's because if you give her the ointment, she'll agree to restore the deal between my company and Phoenix Entertainment." Wyatt smiled and replied, "Why go through all that trouble just for the deal?" He then turned to Leah and continued, "Forget about the ointment, Leah. Like I said, you're not worthy of it!" Leah gritted her teeth with anger and frowned. She wanted nothing more than to slap Wyatt right then and there. "You're an asshole, Wade! Just you wait! I'll make you regret this!" She then turned back to the entrance and shouted, "Security? Where's security?" A chubby-looking man came running over with two more security guards behind him. His eyes lit up when he recognized Leah. "What's wrong, Ms. Leah?" The security guards were well acquainted with Leah as she often came to the office to visit her aunt. Leah pointed at Wyatt and his friends and said, "Mr. Mark, the three of them are blocking my way! Please get them out of here!" Mark, the chubby head of security then pointed at Wyatt and shouted, "What are you guys doing here? Do you really think this is a place for random people like you to loiter around?" Wyatt glanced at Mark and calmly replied, "Random people? Open your eyes and take a good look at who I am." Mark arrogantly growled back at him. "Do I look like I care? Apologize to Ms. Leah right now and get lost!" Leah then smiled and pointed at Wyatt. "He said that he's here for work. Perhaps he's a new hire as a security guard?" Mark was stunned for a moment. He then looked at Wyatt's casual clothes and also assumed that Wyatt was there to apply for a job as a security guard. "Don't worry, Ms. Leah. I won't hire someone like him!" He patted himself on the chest confidently and then turned back to Wyatt. "First day on the job, kid? Too bad! I hereby announce that you're officially fired! Now get lost!" Wyatt looked at Mark with a strange look on his face. He could not believe that a mere head of security had just tried to fire the company's majority shareholder. He could not come up with a better joke even if he tried.
