Chapter 827

Wyatt placed his hands behind his back, unbothered by the threats. "You're firing me, you say? I'd like to see how you plan to do just that." "You—" Mark was rendered speechless as he in fact did not hold the authority to fire anyone. Only the Human Resources department could do so. "Not bad, Wade. But even if Mr. Mark here can't fire you, the company executives definitely can fire you!" Leah shouted before pulling out her phone to make a call. Since Wyatt claimed that he was here for work, she was determined to sabotage his job and drill into him the consequences of offending her. An incredibly attractive office lady soon appeared before the group. She wore a silver-colored professional suit and black high heels that when paired with her body, a perfect blend of maturity and sexiness that asserted her authority within the room. Leah immediately ran up to the woman and put on an innocent look. "Aunt Sonia!" Leah's aunt, Sonia Meester, was a manager within Phoenix Entertainment. It was that connection that allowed Leah to have the ability to sway the direction of the contract that Xylia was aiming to restore. Mark, along with some nearby employees, bowed and greeted her respectfully. Xylia was intimidated by the scene and immediately whispered to Wyatt, "Wade, that woman's the manager in charge of the deal between my company and Phoenix Entertainment. We can't afford to offend her. We gotta go!" However, Wyatt remained as calm as ever despite Xylia's pleas to leave. Leah then pointed at Wyatt and said, "That's him, Aunt Sonia." Sonia nodded and then looked at Wyatt. "Apologize to Leah now." Wyatt sneered. "Who are you to demand an apology from me?" The nearby security guards began pointing fingers at Wyatt and shook their heads as they whispered to one another. "Is something wrong with his mind? How could he not at least recognize Mrs. Meester?" "He's done for. He ain't getting the job after offending Mrs. Meester like that." "Yeah. What an unfortunate guy he is to be fired on his very first day." Sonia was further angered by Wyatt's arrogant attitude. "I am the procurement manager for Phoenix Entertainment, that's who! Leah right here is also a registered talent to Phoenix Entertainment. "So let me bring the question back to you. Who are you, a newly hired security guard, to have the gall to talk back to me?" Wyatt placed his hands behind his back and scoffed. "Has nobody ever taught you not to judge a book by its cover? Or perhaps you did learn about it, but were too foolish to understand the lesson! "Fine then. I guess I'll have to show you who I am." He then pulled out his phone and made a call. "Alyssa Hollis, correct? I'm right downstairs." The name Alyssa Hollis did not incite much reaction from the crowd, except for Sonia. She was shocked as she recognized the name to be the newly appointed senior secretary to the new chairman of the company. In no time, a group of people appeared at the office entrance led by a young woman dressed in a professional suit. The crowd was all left flabbergasted when they finally got to take a good look at the young woman's face. She was breathtakingly gorgeous. Her perfect facial features which were enhanced by light makeup and delicate eyebrows gave her an almost surreal appearance. In terms of appearances, her only equal would be the stunningly beautiful Xylia. But of course, she was leagues ahead of Xylia when it came to confidence. The young man's long hair was styled into an updo that exposed her smooth and flawless forehead. It was apparent that she was already so confident in her own appearance that she did not have to bother styling her hair to help enhance her beauty. Even Wyatt was shocked by her appearance. But of course, what captivated him was not her beauty alone, but her confidence as well. The young woman was none other than Alyssa Hollis, the senior secretary that Deidre had personally assigned to Wyatt.
