The moment I saw him, I stopped breathing.
Ethan.
He stood just inside the warehouse, tall and calm like he’d never left my life. He looked older, sharper, but those eyes—those familiar gray eyes—still held that stubborn fire.
I couldn't quite believe my eyes.
Five years was a long time—long enough to erase someone.

Ethan stared at me for a long time. His mouth didn’t move, but his eyes said more than words could.
Charles broke the silence with a quiet, amused chuckle. “So na you be the husband?”

Charles took a slow step forward, folding his arms as he studied Ethan. “You came all the way here. Alone. No weapon, no security. You get mind.” He tilted his head slightly. “But you dey act like man wey get nothing to lose.”
