Chapter 31: Catch Me If You Can

~ Willow ~ “Willow, there is no way in hell you are going to get me into that airplane.” Nix cries. I laugh and bounce up and down excitedly. “Don’t be such a baby, Nix. You want to date a dragon, and you’re afraid to fly.” I said back to him. He nervously glances toward Mona. She sees how much I want to do this, and she decides to help me persuade Nix into joining us. She walks up to him and places her arms around his neck. “Please, Nix… For me?” Mona begs and batts her big brown eyes. Nix is like putty in her hands. “Yeah, sure. No problem.” He replies to her with a voice that doesn't hide his fear. She smiles at him. “I knew you were brave enough to do it.” She wraps Nix up in a tight hug. He is busy rubbing the back of his neck. Brax walks over as we wait to board the plane. “You know if you wanted to go flying, all you had to do was ask.” He drew me into his arms as the plane landed on the runway and came to a stop in front of us. “I know, but I have always wanted to do this.” He
